Anything can happen
When I get all slumping and overwhelmed and tired and disconnected, I try to remember that nothing is set in stone.⠀I don’t know where things are going or what is going to happen.⠀Anything can happen in any moment.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And, if I have my wits about me, I start to mentally tick off some amazing things that could happen right now in any moment without me doing a thing. The universe is a funny place. It can often jump in and surprise me in amazing ways.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What might happen? What silly or buoyant or expansive or wild or connective thing might be just around the corner?
It could start raining and wash away the heat
I could run in to a delightful friend
A mysterious package could arrive at my door
A French bakery could open up down the street
The wind could blow away that dead tree
An amazing couple could move in next door
Someone could ask me to house sit their beach house
I could win a tandem bike
My hair could accidentally look wonderful⠀⠀
And just like that, my brain starts to consider all the wonders in this big, wide world. And feel open to new possibilities.
